Have you ever lied about your age? Unfortunately it's a timeworn predicament for women in popular culture. Even Rebel Wilson reportedly shaved six years off her age. Why? Because ageism is real, especially in Hollywood. Remember when Maggie Gyllenhaal was told 37 was "too old" for a 55-year-old male love interest? Now women in entertainment are taking a humorous stand against age bias. A string of new shows prove age is just a number. Take the hilarious new Netflix series Grace and Frankie, which stars Jane Fonda, 77, and Lily Tomlin, 75, or the new hit TV Land series Younger, which follows 40-year-old character Liza Miller, who passes for a 26-year-old in order to land a job as an assistant at a publishing firm. Interestingly, Ms. Miller is played by Sutton Foster, who is also 40 in real life.
