>When we first glimpsed the Pacific Palisades home of Los Angeles–based interior designer Margaret Weitzman in C Home, we were captivated by a few statement-making items—a collection of yellow vases on a dining room sideboard and a midcentury brass chandelier, to be specific. But it was her beautiful layering that kept us lingering and looking. A consummate estate sale shopper, Weitzman has filled her home with an elegant mix of pieces from nearly every design era. From classical blue-and-white pottery to antique Persian rugs to contemporary art, the collection is beautifully balanced and subtle. On the whole, the space feels traditional, but a sprinkling of vintage and modern items gives it a distinct freshness. Scroll on for a tour.
