After years of searching, interior designer Maria Lladó finally tracked down the "right place" in the Spanish capital. "Since the first time I visited, I fell in love. It was instantaneous," she said. The high ceilings, wide spaces, and intense character of the building complement her love of large-scale bold furniture and colorful décor. Herringbone parquet flooring—painted white, along with the walls, to open up the space and showcase the natural light—runs through the home. Scroll down to see more of this space via Nuevo Estilo.
