Marie Kondo will officially be sparking joy from your laptop screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the organization expert has inked a deal to produce and star in her own unscripted, eight-episode Netflix series. Her two books, Spark Joy and The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, have sold a combined 8.5 million copies in just four years.
The currently untitled series will reportedly follow Kondo as she transforms the lives of eight different people by urging them to reorganize and reprioritize their lives according to her famed KonMari method. "Marie created an incredible global movement to inspire personal understanding through mindful organization," said Gail Berman of The Jackal Group, which will be producing the show. "We've seen individuals undergo astonishing and moving personal journeys simply by applying Marie's approach to their own homes, and we are delighted to work with her and Netflix to share her method."
Kondo seconds this sentiment. "Through this partnership with Netflix, I am excited to spread the KonMari method to as many people as possible," she added in a statement. Shop her best seller ahead of the Netflix release below.
