Matt Damon is in contract to purchase what could be the most expensive apartment in the entire borough of Brooklyn, The Wall Street Journal reports. Perched atop the Columbia Heights building known as The Standish, the expansive penthouse is currently going for a casual $16.645 million; if sold at that price, it will be the priciest residential sale to ever take place in the New York City borough. The apartments range from a $1.26-million one-bedroom to Damon's future $16-million penthouse, which is a combination of several units. The 6218-square-foot space reportedly houses six bedrooms and an expansive outdoor terrace. Tenants in all of the units will enjoy Austrian white oak flooring, Bertazzoni-Italia and Bosch appliances, freestanding tubs, rain shower heads, and Fantini fixtures.
