Meghan Markle has embarked on her first solo project as a royal, and we're pleased to report that you can purchase said project for just $17 on Amazon. Together with the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen in the Al Manar Muslim Cultural Center in West London, Markle has created a cookbook dubbed Together: Our Community Cookbook. The cookbook features recipes that the women regularly prepare at the center, in addition to a foreword penned by Markle herself.
Ahead of the September 25 launch date, Meghan hosted an event this morning at Kensington Palace, giving a heartfelt, three-minute speech to a crowd of onlookers including her husband, Prince Harry, and her mother, Doria Ragland. The event not only marks Markle's first solo project and public speech as a royal but her mother's first public appearance with her daughter since attending the royal wedding in May.
"Working on this project for the past nine months has been a tremendous labor of love," Markle addressed the crowd. "I had just recently moved to London, and I felt so immediately embraced by the women in the kitchen, their warmth, and their kindness, and also to be able to see, in this one small room, how multicultural it was. On a personal level, I feel so proud to live in a city that can have so much diversity. It's 12 countries represented in this one group of women. It's pretty outstanding."
