Inside a Fashion Blogger's Eclectic Home Office

There’s no doubt that your work environment has a profound effect on your mood, productivity, and creativity. For fashion blogger Mary Orton, the creative force behind Memorandum and the recently launched Trove app, decorating a space that fuels the latter point is crucial for her job.

Tired of her existing home office, Orton collaborated with Joss & Main to redesign the room in her New York City apartment. The result? An eclectic creative space that’s as dynamic as Orton’s personal style.

“It’s a mélange of masculine, feminine, midcentury modern, art deco, transitional, traditional and even some industrial pieces, with lots of really personal touches as well,” she says. “I think the balance that is created when pairing competing styles makes for a very interesting space, and really gets my creative juices flowing.”
