We’re taking the metallic trend to the next level. Throughout all of 2016’s many twists and turns, one thing seemed to remain constant: brass, gold, and copper interior accents. Everywhere. And though our obsession with metallic décor continues, it’s becoming more and more challenging to design a room that truly makes a statement. Here’s the good news: We’ve uncovered a new evolution to metallic décor that’s pure gold. In fact, we learned it from some of our favorite hotels. 2016 may have been the year of metallic accents, but 2017 is going to be the year of metallic accent walls.

Why metallic walls? Lately, we’re seeing more and more homes that incorporate stylish details typically reserved for high-end hotels, giving the home turf a more cosmopolitan edge. From upgraded linens to wallpaper to alternative living room layouts that more closely resemble lobby lounges than TV rooms, borrowing from the hoteliers is a simple solution to bring a little bit of the fabulous jet-setter style home. From staycations to downtime around the house, you deserve polish and sophistication. It’s time to treat yourself to a metallic accent wall. The future is shining bright.
