If there's one thing we love more than our cityscape situation, it's escaping to the countryside. It's our modern version of stress relief in the form of fresh air and open fields. In fact, the lush landscape setting is so healing we've often considered relocating there permanently, and if we did, it would look something like this stunning elevated farmhouse. The 400-year-old barn was converted into a sleek contemporary residence with a rustic vibe. The color palette resembles its earthy surroundings with forest green, brown, bronze, and moody blue to break up the white in the historic wooden beams on the walls and ceilings. The kitchen is definitely our happy place with the building's original stone featured above the stove and its pretty provincial aesthetic. Swoon.
