>I am a huge fan of having a few fun facts in my back pocket at all times. That way when I go to a social event where I'm forced to make small talk with people that I don’t know, I can say: “Do you know who the most Googled people of 2015 were? Guess!” It’s a terrific game as long as you know the correct answer. This year Time is reporting that the honor of the most Googled person (in the whole wide world!) was a tie. Reality start Kim Kardashian and soccer player Lionel Messi “each earned the distinction of being the most-searched person in 26 different countries in 2015.”
>Kardashian was the most searched person in English-speaking countries like Canada, the U.S., New Zealand, and Australia. Messi was searched for in a wide variety of places including his birthplace, Argentina, Haiti, and Somalia. Cristiano Ronaldo, another world-renowned soccer player, was the third most-searched person, who took home the title in 21 nations. He was followed by Niki Minaj (13 countries) and Rihanna (11 countries). Pop singers Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Ariana Grande all were most-searched in one random country: Papua New Guinea, Thailand, and Italy, respectively.
