Napa Valley has a habit of luring people in. The picturesque wine country attracts the business-savvy looking for a beautiful place to unwind, which is exactly why Los Angeles-based entrepreneur and philanthropist Jamie McCourt decided to stake a claim there. Visits to the region for wine club events and functions were becoming a habit, so McCourt finally caved and bought her dream home. The light-filled abode was designed by California modernist architect Scott Johnson of Johnson Fain, and it is surrounded by cabernet sauvignon on a wooded hillside—it’s literally heaven on Earth. Los Angeles interior designer Waldo Fernandez took care of the impressive redesign with a neutral color scheme that took inspiration from the landscape, rocks, and trees. Fernandez collaborated with designer Tommy Clements on custom furniture, including over-scale sofas and chairs. Scroll down to take the tour through photos by Sam Frost for C Magazine.
