Exclusive: Nate Berkus's New Project 62 Bedding Landed at Target Just In Time for Fall

Every year as summer's hazy days fade into autumn and we all start spending a bit more time in our homes, the desire to make everything a little cozier becomes impossible to ignore. Especially when it comes to our bedrooms.

There's nothing quite like layering your bed with cozy throw blankets and extra pillows to create the perfect cold weather retreat. Which is exactly what inspired Nate Berkus's new bedding collection for Target's Project 62 line.

"I reached for a lot of luxe textures when working on this collection, including heathered flannels, rich velvet, and faux fur, all mixed with subtle patterns," Berkus tells MyDomaine. "I wanted the collection to feel effortless and sophisticated, but also cozy for fall temperatures."

Berkus describes the collection as "layered, sophisticated, and livable," and honestly, what more could you want from a bed? To achieve that fall-friendly vibe, Berkus made sure to craft a palette that felt autumnal, but in an approachable, not kitschy way.

Similarly, he suggests people incorporate similar personality-packed neutral colors into their own beds to create a space that feels a little extra special.

"Try incorporating colors like bronze, cream, olive and washed black because they will feel timeless and handsome, but also incredibly cozy and personal," Berkus says. "I love the warm, neutral color palette seen throughout my fall collection."

One look at the collection makes it clear that Berkus achieved something truly special: a decidedly autumnal collection with nary a pumpkin in sight.

"The Stripe Woven Yarn Dyed Quilt ticks all the boxes – it is good looking, comfortable and layered," Berkus says.

This faux fur pillow comes in this bronzey orange, as well as luxe cream and moody black. Mix and match to find a combination that suits your taste.

A heathered olive tone makes this flannel duvet feel aesthetically interesting, but still approachable. The Border Stitch Flannel Duvet in Heathered Grey is also one of Berkus's favorites.
