First off, if it’s sausage and eggs you’re looking for, you may be better off wandering into your local diner. Even traditional bowls of cereal floating in a pool of milk are hard to come by at Kellogg’s NYC. Here, cereal is taken to glorious new heights, thanks to Christina Tosi, the celebrity pastry chef who rose to prominence thanks to the success of her Milk Bar chain, which turned things like cereal milk soft-serve into a cottage industry.
Tosi has devised inventive combinations like “Pistachio & Lemon,” made from Special K, Frosted Flakes, pistachios, lemon zest, and thyme; and “Berry Me in Green Tea,” which combines Rice Krispies, strawberries, and green-tea powder. Blue Marble soft-serve can be used a milk replacement, while add-ons like fresh peaches, passion-fruit jam, pistachios, and white chocolate are also on offer.
As for the cereals themselves, all your childhood favorites are available, including All-Bran for the health-conscious and Fruit Loops for the kids at heart.
