When architect Bill Beeton and garden designer Julia Hubbard decided to move east from their Venice, CaIifornia, home to the quiet Hamptons neighborhood they were looking for a place to put their roots down. The creative couple found the perfect family home set on three-quarters of an acre hill with striking views of the Sag Harbor Cove. The house itself needed work so they "basically took it all down except for three studs in the kitchen" and completely transformed it into a chic, modern space with a Provençal touch.
Now it's big enough for their growing family and friend circle. "We've had anywhere from six to 100 people for dinner," Hubbard told HC&G. "We tell our friends to stop by whenever they want, have a swim, and pour themselves a cocktail—if we haven't done it for them already." Sounds like heaven on earth.
