We all know about the superfood benefits of kale, but despite a myriad of health benefits, the strong flavor isn't everyone's taste. Enter kale chips. They're a crunchy, nutritious, and delicious snack for the busy girl on the go. And the best part is they're super easy to make yourself at home—just ask Oprah. This video shows you how to make them using her very own recipe. Watch above and follow the recipe below to find out how.
1 bunch kale (curly green or red tend to work best)
2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
Freshly ground black pepper
Place a baking sheet in the oven and preheat to 375°F.
Thoroughly rinse and dry the kale. Tear out and discard the stems. Rip the leaves into even-size pieces, and place in bowl. Pour the olive oil on top, and mix with your hands to combine, massaging the kale while doing so in order to reduce the toughness of the leaves. Add pepper to taste.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and spread the kale in an even layer. Return the sheet to the oven and bake 10 to 15 minutes, turning over the kale pieces once, halfway through.
Cool on the baking sheet on a wire rack and enjoy.
This recipe calls for olive oil—pour it on top with the elegant copper pot below.
