Here's Who Took Home the Gold at the Oscars Tonight

Last night stars gathered to celebrate the best in film at the 89th annual Academy Awards. It was an historic evening in many ways. This year each acting category featured at least one nominee of color, and Mahershala Ali, who won Best Supporting Actor for his role in Moonlight is the first Muslim actor to ever win an Oscar. La La Land was the top nominee, earning a record-tying 14 nominations (All About Eve and Titanic are the only other films to earn as many nominations), followed by Moonlight and Arrival which each earned eight. With the final award announcement for Best Picture, the cast and crew of La La Land were mistakenly called to the stage before the blunder was corrected and the Moonlight team was brought up to accept their award.

While there were many winners at the star-studded spectacle—including Meryl Streep who was in attendance for her record-breaking 20th Oscar nomination—only a handful walked away with the gold. Below are the winners of the 89th annual Academy Awards.
