If there's one interior design look we can't get enough of, it's the laid-back California vibe. This stunning Pacific Palisades home in sunny Los Angeles is the epitome of that sophisticated coastal-prep look. It's bright, crisp, and minimal, yet eclectic and relaxed all at once. Husband and wife design duo, Syd and Shea of Studio McGee team set to work on creating a cool East Coast meets West Coast vibe, and the end result is nothing short of stunning.
The challenge was in tying together the entry, formal living, and dining room seamlessly within the open-plan design. "When you walk in the door, you can see all of this at once, so it was important that everything flowed without becoming monotonous," they said. "Even though the home didn't have a clearly defined entry, we created one." Now it's their favorite room in the house. But if we had to single out one space, it would definitely be the all-white kitchen. Those bar stools are a standout too.
