After the success of Parachute's varied home collections, Kaye felt like now was the right time to expand to rugs. She believes that this simple piece of décor has the power to transform just about any space. "The right rug can tie an entire room together and provide a cozy, comfortable place for your feet to land or even lounge on," she explains. "We're excited to bring our uniquely Parachute aesthetic and commitment to quality to area rugs," she adds.

The new collection includes a braided wool rug, a textured wool rug, a medallion wool kilim, and a striped flatweave rug, all available in multiple sizes to fit your space just right. You can also purchase a nonslip eco rug pad to keep just about any rug from sliding around your floors.

When you're on the search for high-quality, globally-inspired bedding, bath, and other home essentials, you likely turn to Parachute. The brand consistently ends up on our radar when it comes to things like the best sheets and the best towels you can buy. Its also expanded to launch lines of everything from tabletop and nursery products to gifts and even mattresses. This month, they're launching yet another collection of covetable home goods sure to end up on one of our future best-of lists.

Parachute just dropped a new line of woven rugs and they're as chic and timeless as the rest of the products the brand is known for. It's a welcome continuation of the home goods offerings Parachute already creates, which is what Parachute founder and CEO Ariel Kaye had in mind. "It's our intention to create comfort in every room of the home," she tells MyDomaine. "I've always been a huge design enthusiast, and I know the incredible impact that a well-placed, beautifully-made rug can have on a space," she continues.

The cozy area rugs come in four distinct styles and a variety of sizes with prices ranging from $89 to $1,349. Whether you're looking for a classic rug to fill your entire living room or a sleek runner to add a bit of texture to a kitchen or hallway, there's something for every design need.

Each of the new rugs is created by Parachute's Fair Trade manufacturing partner known as "The City of Weavers," which is located in Panipat, India. It takes about three to four weeks to complete every piece during a process of hand-separating, dying, spinning, and weaving the rugs using traditional looms.

"We're committed to ensuring that all of our home essentials are made by the world's best," says Kaye. "We travel the globe to locate expert craftspeople, delivering a premium quality product that upholds the high standards and heritage of that region. And we took this same approach to find our ideal manufacturing partner to responsibly and ethically craft our rugs," the entrepreneur continues.

Not only do they operate their own solar and wind power generation products, but they also provide education for their employee's kids and job opportunities for their spouses.

"When we learned about the depth and breadth of their design capabilities as well as their incredibly strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility, we knew we found the right partner for us," Kaye explains. So not only will you be able to decorate your home with beautiful rugs, but you'll also feel good about supporting a conscious company.

Rather than try to keep up with the latest trends, Kaye notes that inspiration behind this new collection of woven area rugs was more about the aesthetic and design philosophy of all of Parachute's many home décor products. "We design each item to complement our entire assortment of home essentials," the CEO says. "We take a modern approach to design, offering timeless, unfussy pieces in a neutral color palette that are intended to be layered, mixed, and matched," she adds.

The goal was to create pieces that could work well in any room in your home, and that's exactly what the brand has achieved. "You can place them wherever you can use a cozy touch of comfort or a bit of extra color and texture," Kaye suggests.

According to Kaye, there no rules when it comes to styling Parachute's latest offerings. "Our rugs are designed to be enjoyed in all rooms of the home, including the bedroom, runners in the kitchen or bathroom, area rugs in the living rug, etcetera," the founder explains. However, the design pro does have her own tried and true tips when it comes to selecting the perfect rug for your space.

"A great rule of thumb when shopping for rugs, in general, is to consider the purposed you'd like it to play in your space," she says. "For instance, are you looking for an eye-catching piece that will serve as a focal point for your room, or a subtle grounding for other, bolder pieces in your space? Are you looking for an especially tactile floor covering that you and your family can sit or lounge on or a highly durable rug for a high traffic area," relays Kaye. She suggests thinking of these questions before making a selection.
