I am somewhat of a lamp collector. It's just too hard for me to resist all of the fabulous lamps I see on the market, so I've gotten creative with placing them throughout my home. In my bedroom, there's a table lamp on my nightstand, of course, and another on my dresser, but I've even gone as far as putting a small one on top of the mantel in that room. My living room is also full of table lamps galore, including my newest favorite, this pleated lamp from Crate and Barrel.

Funnily enough, this beautiful lamp actually popped up on my Pinterest feed. I get so much of my design inspiration via the site that I wasn't at all surprised how well my home page "understood" my style perfectly. I was worried that a lamp this beautiful would be difficult to track down or would be out of my price range, so I was thrilled when I clicked through to discover that the piece was readily available on Crate and Barrel's website (and on sale, nonetheless!)
I ordered the lamp right away, and it arrived on my doorstep just four days later. Assembly couldn't have been more seamless, and after getting the lamp set up, I placed it on a small vintage table in my living room. I have been wanting to keep this part of my living room a bit more minimal and textural, and the lamp fits in with my design scheme perfectly. It's such a statement maker with its gorgeous fluted shade. Best of all, the lamp will add so much brightness to the area of my home in which I spend the most time. It fits not one but two bulbs, making it an excellent choice for a highly utilized space.

The one downside of the lamp, in my opinion, is that because the diameter of the shade is so big at 21 inches, it needs to go on a relatively deep piece of furniture. Therefore, while a lamp like this one will look fantastic on a table, it may not be the best choice for a smaller piece of furniture like a desk or narrow console. This fortunately isn't a huge issue for me, since the table in my living room is pretty deep in size.
Not in the market for a table lamp at this time but still love this fab pleated style? The great news is that this lamp is also for sale in sconce and floor lamp form.

The sconces are plug-in, meaning you don't need to call in an electrician or cut into your walls to make them shine—they're perfectly renter friendly in this respect.

And the floor lamp...well, that's a beauty. I think it would add such a fun pop of texture to any neutral living room. If only I had a little more floor space...
