New York Fashion Week is as grueling as it is glamorous, requiring both an on-point sense of style and a never-ending energy supply to fuel your hours-long misadventures. No one knows this better than fashion insider, jewelry designer, and closeted foodie Jennifer Fisher, who recently shared her three go-to NYFW power breakfasts with Vogue.
Her first choice? Crustless quiche veggie muffins made with organic eggs, almond milk, and fresh vegetables straight from the Union Square Greenmarket. Fisher usually reaches for a combination of spinach, chives, finely diced jalapeños, and Italian parsley, but also suggests mixing in zucchini, chopped broccoli, sweet potato, kale, or tomatoes to add heartiness. These portable, bite-sized quiches are packed with enough protein to fuel a busy morning at work, a hectic morning with the kids, or a morning spent traversing New York City during fashion week.
Fisher, whose statement baubles and famous hoop earrings have been worn by the likes of Jourdan Dunn, Emily Ratajkowski, and Rihanna, has amassed 225,000 Instagram followers, due in part to her mouth-watering food photos peppered in with her jewelry and celebrity shots. She is well-versed in the dos and don'ts of NYFW, always keeping nutrition top of mind: "You want to feed your body the fuel that it will need to make it feel good and function," said Fisher. "The most time-consuming thing is making sure you have all of the ingredients you need."
