You might not know who Countess Karen Spencer is, but you'll likely recognize her sister-in-law, the late Princess Diana of Wales. In honor of what would have been her 55th birthday today, we're following Spencer through her extraordinary royal manor, courtesy of People.
The stunning estate is certainly fit for royalty. It sleeps 60 people, has almost 100 fireplaces, and is situated on a 550-acre park in the English countryside. Diana moved to the historic residence when she was just 14 and spent her childhood wandering the expansive grounds and playing with her brother Charles, Countess Spencer's husband.
While the estate maintains the traditional décor from the princess's childhood, there are a couple of modern additions you might not expect in a royal home. The key feature? A bouncy castle is inflated in the state dining room, a playful addition for the countess's 3-year-old daughter, Lady Charlotte Diana.
