This is going to be a big year for the British royal family. Following news that Prince Harry will wed American actress Meghan Markle in May, Buckingham Palace has just confirmed there will be a second royal wedding this year. In a statement issued on Monday morning, palace officials announced the queen's granddaughter, Princess Eugenie, is engaged to marry longtime boyfriend Jack Brooksbank.
Eugenie, 27, is the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew, the queen's son, and is currently eighth in the line of royal succession. Brooksbank, 31, is considered royalty in a different sphere—Tatler dubbed him king of the London club scene. According to Business Insider, he is the manager of the Kensington branch of Mahiki nightclub, a venue that's popular among the younger royals.
Brooksbank proposed to the princess during a trip to Nicaragua in early January with a pink sapphire and diamond engagement ring. The pair have been dating for over seven years and are set to marry in fall this year. Expect to see a lot of St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle—both royal couples are tying the knot at the same venue.
