Fall is in full swing, but if you’re missing the warmer days that just passed, the Prism X LOREM collaboration is the exact remedy you need. Bring California summer vibes into your living room, bedroom, office or anyplace else in your home that screams, “I need some greenery please!” with these new items.
Prism is a well-known Southern California clothing boutique with locations in Long Beach as well as Orange County. In addition to selling casual wardrobe staples from denim to swimwear, they also offer affordable but chic and most certainty Instagrammable home décor items. Over the years, the store received tons of compliments on their customized LOREM displays. So, the two brands decided it was time to team up.
“My boutiques are furnished with fixtures and displays hand made by the women of LOREM. We wanted to create a collection that could bring our light, dreamy aesthetic into your home,” Prism Boutique founder Dayna Mance tells MyDomaine.
The line features eight different plant hangers and stands made of raw plywood. There are also two pieces of wall art. The overall design was inspired by the aesthetics of both brands. Prices range between $96 and $240.
And did we mention everything is made by hand? That means if your favorite fern needs a new home, you better get on this, now!
There are three plant hangers in the collection. Designed for indoor use only (trust us, it's where you want to keep these babies anyway!), the leather and rope accents give off a clean and contemporary feel without being minimalist. The neutral color of these materials also makes the natural plant leaves pop vibrantly. If you have a plant with multi-colored leaves, like a red aglaonema, these planters are a dream!
The Playa hanger is ideal for short leaved greenery, making plants almost look as if they are suspended in the air.
On the other hand, the Mesa and Arroyo hangers are perfect for plants with descending and overgrown leaves. These styles can be very helpful if you aren’t always the best about maintenance and trying to become a better plant parent.
If you’ve been thinking about developing your green thumb, but haven’t quite been able to do it, these accessories can give you the push you need.
“The plant stands are unlike anything on the market and we love them paired next to each other with overflowing house plants. Try them near a mantel or in front of windows,” suggests Mance.
The round and curved shapes make these stands useful for smaller spaces or to tuck away into those corners of your home you feel may be missing a little something.
All of the stands were designed to fit eight inch bell pots or cylinders. Because each piece is made of birch plywood, it’s incredibly important to maintain them carefully. Avoid spills and wipe up any accidents immediately.
The Zion stand has room for both a full-size plant as well as a smaller plant or maybe even two. Almost like a miniature side table, it could also be used to display objects like candles, picture frames or a short vase.
With a circular shape and sleek cutouts, the Mojave has a modern feel to it. There are so many great ways to style this stand. With a height of fourteen inches, it can easily break up books on a shelf. Or dress up a boring windowsill with a plant that requires lots of direct sunlight.
If the Mojave is a little too high for your space, consider the slightly shorter but similarly-shaped Anza instead.
The Corona and Gemini plant stands aren’t quite twins but more like cousins. At 23 inches high, the Gemini could look chic next to a shorter bed, sofa or accent chair, even in place of a side table, depending on what your needs are.
At just eleven inches high, the Corona is almost like a miniature stool, just right for that small plant you weren’t quite sure you had a place for.
If you aren’t a plant person (we’re not judging), that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on this collab. There are two pieces of wall art—a vertical arch (Romero) and a horizontal arch (Sabino).
They’re made with hand-poured resin on birch wood featuring both brands’ favorite colors of the season. In addition to being a great stand-alone item, either piece is a wonderful compliment to a hanging planter or on the wall just above a stand.
