Rachel Zoe just opened a new 1300-square-foot storefront in the ritzy Los Angeles neighborhood of the Pacific Palisades and the interior is entirely swoon-worthy. The space houses the fashion designer's ready-to-wear and footwear collections as well as select vintage pieces from her personal archive, but in our opinion, the décor is just as exciting as the fashion.
"The idea was really to create the feeling that you're walking into my home," Zoe tells MyDomaine. It truly does exude Zoe's trademark style with its black-and-white aesthetic, sophisticated gold accents, and bold animal prints. "I think the store looks like how I dress," she explains. "It's definitely easy '70s glamour vibes." To get the look just right, she worked with her friend, stylist, and interior designer Simone Harouche, most notably known for her work styling the likes of Kim Kardashian West and Nicole Richie.
The duo's biggest challenge wasn't creating stunning custom furniture or finding unique vintage pieces, but getting it all done in time. "It was a race against the clock," Zoe admits. Despite the time crunch, she was able to furnish the store with pieces that embody her personal style, like vintage chairs from the 70s, which she and Harouche recovered themselves, or the statement light fixtures from Circa Lighting. The final touches? Lots of art and a touch of greenery.
"The space wouldn't be complete without my style muses framed throughout," Zoe says. "And the store is tied together with lots of greenery and deep red florals, which complement the fall collection." See the '70s glam space for yourself below.
