It's been a big few months for Reese Witherspoon. In addition for snagging an Emmy Award for her work on the hit HBO series Big Little Lies, Witherspoon is hitting a few career milestones. Believe it or not, it's been 15 years since the classic early-2000s film Sweet Home Alabama graced the silver screen, and Witherspoon is giving the movie the justice it deserves.
In addition to sharing two Instagram photos with her 10.9 million followers, Witherspoon took to her blog, Draper James, to reflect on the pivotal film. "Being in Sweet Home Alabama was a huge turning point in my life. It was when the world realized that I was a Southern girl through and through, and that I was proud of where I came from," revealed the Nashville native. "To this day, whenever I walk into a bar someone puts 'Sweet Home Alabama' on the stereo. It always makes me feel right at home!"
As for her favorite line in the movie? "Look at you! You have a baby—in a bar," which her character Melanie Smooter deadpans when catching up with old friends in her hometown. Witherspoon even shared a GIF of the clip on her Instagram, in addition to asking her followers to share memories of their childhood sweethearts in honor of Jack and Melanie's adorable love story.
