Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are notoriously private when it comes to their family, especially their two daughters, Esmeralda Amada, age 3, and Amada Lee, age 1. Which is why we're somewhat surprised to see the famous family making headlines as of late, specifically for their recent trip to New York City. Mendes was spotted out and about with their eldest daughter, Esmeralda, in tow, while Gosling shared an adorable story about Amada on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
"My youngest daughter is a year and a half, and it was her first time in New York, and I brought her to the window in the morning, and I said 'Sweetheart, welcome to New York,'" he told the TV host. At that very moment, two cars smashed into each other on the street below with both drivers yelling obscenities at each other and making lewd hand gestures. "I quickly covered her eyes and ran away from the window," laughed Gosling. "She learned to give the finger in New York," joked Kimmel. "Wow. That's a very New York experience."
