If you've ever visited NYC's trendy new spa-salon-café hybrid, Chillhouse, you can already appreciate the way Cyndi Ramirez-Fulton is cashing in on the wellness industry one adaptogen latte and hangover-curing massage at a time. The "destination for modern self-care," as she describes it, is stylish, relaxing, and affordable—not to mention incredibly Instagram-friendly.
Fulton wasn't always involved in the wellness world, though. In fact, she went to LIM College for fashion marketing, dropped out twice, and even worked as a club promoter before landing her first desk job. After a few years at a fashion consultancy firm, Fulton went on to start her own influencer marketing agency while helping her husband open up several commercial spaces in the food-and-beverage industry.
After that, Fulton (who also ran her own blog) was able to combine her knowledge of retail, editorial, and commerce into Chillhouse. Located on the Lower East Side, the company sells some seriously amazing wellness products both onsite and online, and it also has a media extension, The Chill Times, which features beauty, wellness, and health content.
Fulton's hustle is truly inspirational, but that doesn't mean she hasn't made a mistake or two along the way. Learn all about how she's pushed past business obstacles and found a healthy relationship with her finances on this week's Second Life episode. PS, need to get your own finances in check? Head over to Prudential to see exactly how easy it can be.
