Just when you thought Target couldn't get any better, there's yet another excuse to turn that "quick grocery run" into a complete shopping spree. From its wallet-friendly home décor offerings to its ever-growing wellness aisle, the mass retailer keeps making it that much easier for us to live our best lives. And for those who are looking to upgrade their dinner party game on a budget, Target recently announced that it's adding a new collection of California wines to its inventory—and each bottle will only cost $5.

The California Roots line will feature "five wine blends carefully crafted with premium, California-grown grapes," according to a Target press release, which also reveals each wine's profile and its perfect pairings. There's a chardonnay that'll remind you of a "warm, sunny day at the farmers market," thanks to its tropical fruit flavors, which will go well with fresh bread and an artisanal cheese spread. For vinos looking for something with a decidedly darker taste, the cabernet offers rich cherry flavors accented by hints of oak, perfect for accompanying ribeye steaks.

The moscato, which Target suggests pairing with freshly picked berries, features "creamy peach and melon flavors," while the red blend will complement Italian-meets-California fare (think wild mushroom pasta with grilled veggies) with "smooth berry and cherry flavors with hints of spice." Last but not least, the line's pinot grigio is made of tropical fruit and bright citrus flavors that'll do well with fish dishes and fresh green salads. Even better: The labels feature a sleek design with modern typography, so you won't mind keeping these bottles displayed on any dinner table or picnic blanket.

The new wines land on Target's shelves September 3—will you be buying a $5 bottle? Let us know.
