Even though Taylor Swift’s relationship with Calvin Harris came to an abrupt halt last week, she doesn’t appear ready to give up on love. The singer—who’s been known to pop in on her fans whenever the mood strikes—gave Max Singer and his fnew bride, Kenya Smith, the wedding of a lifetime this past weekend, when she dropped by to perform an acoustic version of juggernaut hit “Blank Space.”
Swift heard of the nuptials after the groom’s sister contacted her and let her know that Singer and Smith were previously married at a hospital so that Singer’s dying mother could watch her son tie the knot.
Not only did Swift bless guests with the most intimate of performances, but she also stuck around to take photos and even brought an ethereal watercolor card that read, “So it’s gonna be forever.”
Naturally, friends and family lucky enough to make it to the Brant Beach Yacht Club in New Jersey took to social media to appropriately freak out. “REMEMBER WHEN TAYLOR SWIFT CRASHED MY SISTER’S WEDDING,” the bride’s sister, Ashley, tweeted.
The groom, meanwhile, told Access Hollywood that he was caught completely off-guard by Swift’s sudden appearance. “As it was happening, I just looked at [Ali], and she had that smile like she knew what was going on,” he said about his sister’s reaction. “And I clearly didn’t, so I knew she had something to do with it.”
