>If you’re considering ending a relationship but feel ghosting is too harsh, might I point you toward the latest in breakup technology? The Breakup Shop is a new website that offers to end your relationship for you. “All of our products are designed to give you peace of mind when ending your relationship, minimizing discomfort and maximizing potential for long-term friendship,” the website's about page explains.
>For just $10, the Breakup Shop will send your soon-to-be ex a “personalized breakup message created by our expert breakup team.” The site also offers other breakup options: There’s a breakup email, a standard or customizable letter, or a phone call where one of their Heartbreakers will call your significant other and perform the breakup for you over the phone. As a single lady who is actively dating, I’m not sure how to feel about this website. On one hand, it’s providing a service many people could use, and giving closure to someone (instead of ghosting them) is preferable. But I can’t help but wonder... what will they think of next? Someone who goes on first dates for us, so we don’t have to?
