Summertime has come and gone, and while we'll miss the warm nights and bright days, we have to admit: we are so excited for fall this year. Brands are releasing their much-awaited fall décor collections, and following suit is a MyDomaine favorite, The Citizenry.
We're introducing their newest fall collection, aptly named "The Poetry of Home," as the brand hopes to add warmth to your home with rich, textural materials and inspiring patterns, much like a beat of poetry.
This collection stands out from past launches, as it's the brand's boldest collection yet when it comes to color choices, according to Caris Fawcett, textile designer for The Citizenry. "We are seeing people taking more risks and making bolder choices, leaning into the 'more is more' style, and we want to offer pieces that will seamlessly fit into a designed home," she says.
This collection has the perfect mix of eclectic patterns and the tried-and-true earthy neutrals that we love from The Citizenry. In many of these new products, the brand incorporates comforting and grounding elements through patterns and colors.
We want our homes to be a destination where you can find artistry and character.
"Our main goal with this collection is to infuse creativity and inspiration in every corner of our homes," Fawcett shares with us. "As we had a year of rediscovering the world around us, we want to bring our travels home—we want our homes to be a destination where you can find artistry and character."
And with that, we introduce to you some of our favorite pieces from the new fall collection.
The Citizenry Santo Armchair
Plush, luxe, and stately, this chair is the perfect accent piece for any living room.
"This chair offers plenty of room to curl up and settle into," Fawcett says. "The removable cushions offer the flexibility to be styled with or without the side arm cushions. The beautifully crafted solid hardwood frame and luxe leather or linen cushions are sure to elevate any room."
The Citizenry Alisha Pillow
There is an abundance of gorgeous pillows in this collection—with this olive beauty included. The Alisha pillow is textured, tonal, and woven from organic linen.
The Citizenry Vihan Area Rug
We love how this rug plays with both the bold and the neutral, and the contrast is perfect for spicing up a room.
"Mixing bold, geometric patterns with statement hues, this stunning area rug is inspired by the cascading stepwells found throughout our travels in India," Fawcett shares. "We played with a beautiful palette with this rug—from bold mustard to soft sand and sage, each hue is simply stunning."
The Citizenry Cotton Gauze Quilt
As soon as we saw this quilt, we were stunned. The rich, green color is a standout shade that brings just the right amount of boldness and warmth to your bedroom.
The Citizenry Golondrina Lumbar Pillow
Far from your average big-box store pillow, this piece is handcrafted in Guatemala on a backstrap loom, focusing on complex techniques that have been used in the Central America region for thousands of years, according to Fawcett.
"The striking mix of warm colors used in this pillow is accentuated with the small woven motifs that feel global yet refined," she says.
The Citizenry La Calle Alpaca Throw
If we could have thought of the perfect throw blanket for fall, this would be it. The rich, mustard shade is so seasonally appropriate, and the hand-loomed quality of this alpaca throw is destined for a cozy fall night snuggled on the couch.
Fawcett shared that there is no better time than fall to start reexamining what home means to you before the cozy, cold months come on.
"Fall is a time of gathering at home and reconnecting with the people and places closest to us, and décor plays a big role in that—it sets the stage for it all," Fawcett shares. "When a home is full of relaxed, welcoming textures and warm, uplifting colors, you can’t help but feel at ease."
The great part about this collection? The pieces aren't stereotypically "fall" meaning they will last in your home long after the fall season ends.
"When we design pieces, our goal is to create timeless pieces that can have a place in your home in every season of the year," Fawcett says. "While fall naturally is a season of layering and leaning into warmer hues and organic textures, we believe our homes should always be a place of comfort and warmth, a place where you want to escape."
