Our collective fascination with Tom Brady and his wife, Gisele Bündchen, runs so deep that entire classes could be taught on the minutiae of their everyday lives. What footwear do they prefer when lounging around the house? Where do they stay when they go on family vacations? And, last but certainly not least, what do they eat to stay in such immaculate shape? In fact, our appetite for some inclusion into the dietary habits of the couple is surpassed only by their appetite for avocado ice cream.
That’s the sweet treat that what was captured in Tom Brady’s most recent Facebook post, which featured an image of Brady’s freezer filled to the brim with Yasso ice cream bars and, of course, avocado ice cream. “I turn my back for one second and Fluffy’s in the freezer… At least she didn’t get into the avocado ice cream!” Brady wrote underneath.
The health-conscious couple’s strict, plant-based diet is the stuff of legend, consisting of a meal plan that’s “80 percent vegetables and whole grains, and 20 percent lean meats.” But, in a family that includes two young children, sometimes skipping dessert just isn’t an option. To gain a better understanding of how Brady and Bündchen satisfy their sweet tooth while maintaining a steady diet, Well and Good rounded up five healthy desserts that the couple has been known to indulge on.
Among them are coconut mango cream pie, which the couple’s Costa Rican vacation chef Joanne Gerrard Young revealed is their favorite “getaway treat.” Also included on the list was Unreal Candy, which is basically a healthier version of your favorite candy. Both Brady and Bündchen have publicly endorsed the Boston-based company that removes all the unhealthy ingredients from typical candy and replaces them with ingredients like blue agave nectar, organic palm oil, and other more natural ingredients. Of course, the aforementioned Yasso Greek Yogurt Bars and avocado ice cream also made the grade, but so did the decadent coconut strawberry parfait, which Young also revealed is one of Bündchen's guilty pleasures.
