Trader Joe's already takes the hassle out of grocery shopping by providing us with a one-stop shop for all things healthy and delicious. But little did we know, its monthly newsletter, known as the Fearless Flyer, also takes the hassle out of cooking. The grocery store chain regularly releases healthy in-house recipes using its very own cult-favorite products, and we can't wait to try a few out this summer. While its entire catalog of breakfast, lunch, dinner, appetizer, and dessert recipes is notably impressive, the below five capitalize on summer's finest ingredients.
Here's what you should make for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert this summer, according to Trader Joe's.
Breakfast: Açaí Smoothie Bowl
Açaì smoothie bowls have been swelling in popularity for the last few years, but the store-bought versions are often expensive and loaded with sugar. Trader Joe's offers a solution to this problem in the form of organic unsweetened Açaí packets, plus its frozen organic mixed berry blend, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, bananas, toasted coconut granola, fancy Medjool dates, and a scoop of protein powder. Here's the full recipe.
Lunch: Tropical Shrimp Salad
Trader Joe's ceviche-style salad has summer written all over it. Made with TJ's frozen shrimp, red onion, cilantro, frozen peaches, avocado, and bell peppers, this refreshing and light lunch is on the table in just 20 minutes. The stores suggests serving it with quinoa or rice for something a bit more filling. Here's the full recipe.
Dinner: Sweet & Spicy Pecan-Crusted Salmon
We love salmon all year round, but there's something about dining on fresh fish in the summertime. Trader Joe's pecan-crusted salmon calls for the brand's aioli garlic mustard sauce, Japanese style panko breadcrumbs, sweet and spicy pecans, boneless, skinless salmon filets, and potato medley. Here's the full recipe.
Appetizer: Green Goddess Grilled Corn
In the grocery chain's own words, "Nothing says summer like fresh corn grilled in its own husk." They recommend basting the corn in Trader Joe's green goddess salad dressing, chili pepper flakes, and salt and pepper before tossing it on the grill. Here's the full recipe.
Dessert: Frank's Blueberry Muffins
This recipe comes courtesy of a former Trader Joe's crew member, who became locally famous for these delicious muffins. His family recipe calls for Trader Joe's all purpose flour, baking powder, organic sugar, bourbon vanilla extract, frozen blueberries, and cultured butter for serving. Find the full recipe here.
