We’re always on the hunt for fresh talent and rising stars who are making a difference in the design scene and creating world-class spaces with confidence and clarity. Whether formally trained or lifelong design fans with an inherent knack for delivering beautiful, enviable environments, these seven talents are ones to watch.
The duo behind Kapito Muller Interiors, Alyssa Kapito and Vivian Muller, are up-and-coming talents who consistently meld their individual perspectives to create cohesive, tasteful spaces. Having met while both interning for Bunny Williams Home, these partners have created spaces for showhouses and are also regular contributors to Domino.
We’re digging the collected and colourful style of this Chicago-based designer who opened her design firm in 2010. Featured in House Beautiful, Luxe, and more, Kahler is becoming known for rooms that project a youthful, glamorous vibe, but the designer also knows how to incorporate more formal and masculine elements into her projects. We’re eager to see how Kaehler’s youthful, pattern-packed designs develop in the coming years.
With a true talent for creating sophisticated, unique, and wholly intriguing interiors, designer Caleb Anderson has caught the attention of the interiors world with his bold combinations and unexpected pairings. After founding his own firm in 2013, the Texas native has designed chic, layered interiors and displayed a masterful grasp on colour and antiques.
With a mother who is also an interior designer, Ashley Darryl has always been exposed to stylish spaces and antique pieces. Ever since the designer founded her own firm in 2012, Darryl has been creating unique, glamorous spaces that exude sophistication and refinement. We love the New York-based designer’s talent for combining unexpected elements and textures to create personal, chic rooms worthy of Manhattan’s elite.
With a talent for designing both residential and commercial spaces, Chad McPhail creates rooms that seamlessly combine classic lines, shapes, and textures with modern and eclectic sensibilities. A graduate of the Parsons School of Design, McPhail honed his skills working for Laura Kirar and MR Architects + Décor before founding his own firm in 2010.
After perfecting her skills working at Nate Berkus Associates, Brynn Olson left the firm to start her own design group propelled by a desire to create spaces that combine artistic elements, vintage appeal, and custom-made pieces that seamlessly fit her clients’ lifestyles. A lifelong artist, Olson designs by this mantra: “How you shape your space will shape your day.”
Los Angeles-based designer Ryan White describes his spaces as “understated, clean, rich, comfortable, and sophisticated.” We happen to agree and love the designer’s ability to incorporate vibrant, bold details, but in a way that preserves the taste-level and elegance of the existing spaces. White has completed a variety of projects, ranging from a Malibu beach house to an urban loft, and we look forward to seeing more of his eclectic, layered work.
