While most home décor retailers bring around just one new collection per season, Urban Outfitters has gone above and beyond by creating not one, but five lines for Fall 2019. Each of the collections features a different aesthetic and are made from label-defining materials, from Mikko's funky bohemian rattan pieces to Lita's streamlined Scandi-modern with slatted wood. Though the lines are perfectly curated to buy as a set, you can also go bold and mix-and-match pieces, especially if you’re into maximalist style. Learn more about each collection here, and check out our picks for standout pieces.
Mikko
The Mikko collection is all about classed-up rattan. Rather than skew too far to the bohemian side of the spectrum, the furniture line features modern clean lines with just a touch of an earthy vibe. While each piece would be perfectly at home in a chic beach bungalow, they’ll also do just fine in an urban apartment.
The curved frame of the Mikko chair almost gives the piece a midcentury-modern look, which is softened greatly by the rattan and the ivory-colored cushions.
This bathroom storage cabinet is equally sleek and feels lived-in, and never staged. Its modern frame also adds a touch of contrast.
This bed frame adds subtle style without taking up too much room. The line's signature rattan material fits right into a coastal casual room.
Huxley
Taking a quintessential midcentury-modern aesthetic, the Huxley collection is designed for living in small spaces. It’s all about storage, whether that’s hidden drawers in a dining room table, variously sized dressers, or entryway tables.
With a sleek, low-slung profile, this bed features a taupe upholstered headboard and baseboard. The round, tapered legs are ideal for avoiding accidentally bumping into a corner when you’re getting into bed.
This mirror is slim enough to accompany even the smallest of spaces, and the dowel frame means you can lean it against any flat surface.
Compact spaces will welcome this midcentury-modern nightstand with tapered legs. We’re totally drawn in by its simple elegance.
Virginia
The Virginia collection is dainty both in size and aesthetic. Its six romantic pieces are primarily designed for the bedroom—think curved wood dressers, bed frames, and a vanity—but there’s also a media console with a delightfully vintage vibe.
Vanities might not be the most popular piece of furniture to buy these days, but if you have one, make a statement in your bedroom with this one—it's got an upholstered seat and classic curves for days. When guests are over, use it as additional seating, or as a night stand.
Whereas most standard dressers have straight lines and a boxy look, this mango and acacia piece features undulating trim work that adds a delicate touch.
This durable, cotton rug completes any space. The fringe and woven pattern adds just the right amount of style.
Lita
If Scandinavian-cool is your look, you’ll love the Lita line, which features slatted wood pieces. For us, it recalls the time-old sauna tradition in Finland, but in an ever-so-chic, ever-so-modern way.
A modern, wooden frame is wrapped in olive green upholstery for a softer, earthy vibe. It's minimalistic without feeling stark.
The slatted seat and circular cut-out legs adds geometric interest to a dining table, entryway, or as a console.
Aria
Industrial meets feminine in Aria, a collection with curved metal frames in black and white. The pieces pair well with any type of design style, whether you’re skewing more minimalist, farmhouse-chic, or vintage in your home. While Aria's furniture collection included a vanity and daybed, as of 2020, Aria's bed (pictured below) is the only piece available.
This bed frame comes in both black and white, so there’s plenty of design versatility. Embrace the industrial side with the former, or go light and bright with the latter.
And if you're not into the bohemian, midcentury-modern, or Scandi-chic look, each fall Urban Outfitters releases a new furniture collection that's bound to appeal to a range of décor enthusiasts.
