You've seen their ads in the subway, in cabs, and across the web. The buzziest new luxury home, beauty, and lifestyle shopping site, Verishop, has hit the market with some of your favorite brands (think: Hawkins New York, Boll and Branch, and Smeg) in tow. Their claim to fame? Free one-day shipping and returns. Sign. Us. Up.
Our very own General Manager/Vice-President, Leah Wyar, was tapped by the shop to curate a gift guide of her favorite pieces. From a pink marble cheese board to the most cooling linen sheets, keep reading to check out her go-to picks for gifting.
We have to admit we have a tendency to hoard candles, or as we prefer to say, "add to our collection." This Brooklyn Candle Studio pick is a must-have. "To me, the smell of santal is pure magic—especially in candle form," Leah says. "Part sexy European hotel, part cozy night in by the fire, this never disappoints."
"There are few things I love more than sitting down at a restaurant that serves salt in a well," Leah says. "Chic. Now I love being the one to offer the experience in my home." Though the well and matching brass spoon are perfect for dinner parties, they're just too cute not to leave out all the time.
We love a cheese board at MyDomaine. We especially love a cheese board when our favorite fromage is served on a glamorous piece of serveware. As Leah says, "The only thing that makes a cheese tray more appetizing: serving it on a marble cutting board. I'm partial to the pink." So are we.
"My life can be defined in two ways: the thirty years I slept on cotton sheets and the last ten that I've slept on linen," Leah says. "Thank you Merci Paris for the intro...and MagicLinen for making the luxury super easy to access when I'm not living that Franco life." Go ahead, and embrace the linen revolution with these naturally cooling sheets.
Make this the year of not bringing wine to a party in whatever random tote bag you had lying around the house (guilty!), and use this decidedly chicer option instead. It's the grown-up way to attend a party, plus it makes a great gift for the hostess. As Leah says, "Bottle of red, bottle of white...pack both for your next BYO event."
If you're trying to nail an eclectic, lived-in vibe in your space, but are worried about it looking haphazard instead, let us introduce you to these pillow covers. The patterns are easy to mix and match, plus the color options (the above blue and a sunny yellow) are the definition of complementary. Or do as Leah does and mix prints in the same color palette for simple, can't-fail decorating.
Mid-century design is still going strong, and no mid-century kitchen would be caught without some "of the era" appliances. We love Smeg for its cute (and functional!) pieces, and this electric tea kettle is no exception. Try the mint color for a fun pop of color or go for classic black, red, or silver.
Add some sophistication to your morning routine with this handmade (but dishwasher safe!) glassware. "I live for a short, glass tumbler, even if that means two glasses of orange juice in the morning," Leah says. "And the ombre finish of these sets? J'adore, especially in the smoke color."
