Victoria's Secret models spend months perfecting their diets and exercise routines to ensure they're runway-ready, but in the days leading up to the annual show, attention shifts to their skin. New York–based skin guru Mzia Shiman will be on-site in Shanghai, where this year's event will take place, and told Vogue she'll meet with each model in the lead-up to the show to ensure they have luminous, angelic skin.

"Over three days … [they] come to me for treatments and any last-minute fixes," she says. This includes an immediate treatment upon touchdown in Shanghai to soothe their skin post-flight and a series of appointments in their hotel rooms. Here's exactly how a celebrity facialist gives Victoria's Secret angels glowing, runway-ready skin.

As soon as the models touch down, Shiman meets with them to minimize any negative impact the dry plane air and long transit might have on their skin. According to Vogue, she provides each girl with a rejuvenating eye mask to combat puffiness and swelling and an Intraceuticals three-step hydration kit, which contains serums and moisturizers with hyaluronic acid.

Shiman visits each model at their hotel room for three days in the lead-up to the event and performs a tailored skincare session. While each individual routine differs depending on each model's needs, she says it involves cleansing, a soothing face massage with Decleor's cult neroli oil, and her signature treatment, an oxygen infusion, in which "pure oxygen is pressed into every pore to plump, smooth and even out texture."

If the unthinkable happens (aka their skin breaks out), Shiman avoids heat at all costs, as this can irritate skin. Instead, she applies light pressure to drain the infection and uses a drying lotion, like Mario Badescu's calamine formula.
