Calling all modern minimalists, West Elm's latest partnership is right up your impeccably designed alley. The furniture and décor brand is now stocking the entire collection of chic furnishings from Detroit-based direct-to-consumer startup Floyd, and it'll make your home look as good as you feel about your purchase.
For the uninitiated, Floyd is a digitally native furniture brand that started with the desire to create products with materials that last, rather than end up in a landfill. "We started Floyd to address today's high-waste culture of disposability," Kyle Hoff, co-founder of Floyd, tells MyDomaine. "We focus on creating thoughtful furniture pieces that are simple and designed to be kept," he continues.
With this ethos in mind, Floyd's unique offerings don't change with every season—which is why each item feels so effortlessly timeless. "We draw a lot of inspiration from Michigan's rich legacy of modern furniture and exceptional manufacturing," Hoff notes. "We very much look up to the works of brands like Herman Miller, Steelcase, La-Z-boy, and Charles & Ray Eames who studied at Michigan's Cranbrook Art Academy."
Now, thanks to West Elm, Floyd's furnishings will be included in immersive shop-in-shop experiences at select West Elm locations in Santa Monica, Austin, and New York City. Plus, the entire collection is now available for purchase online at West Elm.
This isn't the first time West Elm has supported Floyd's vision. The brands first connected back in 2016 through West Elm's LOCAL program, introducing Floyd's first product to their customers. "West Elm's customers have grown to love and trust Floyd products since then," Hoff says. "We're looking forward to using this partnership to bring Floyd's commitment to sustainability and conscientious design to life on a larger, more impactful scale," the co-founder adds.

Few pieces of furniture are as sleek and streamlined as this platform bed. The birch base sits low to the ground on top of your choice of white or black steel legs for a truly modern look. If you're going for style, not storage, this is the bed for you.
This rectangular dining table would look great in virtually any kitchen nook or dining room, thanks to its simple, sleek appearance. It comes in a variety of color combinations (though, we're partial to this blush top with white legs). You can also choose from an olive green, fog gray, or smoky blue top with black legs or a fog gray top with white legs.
A plush sectional with a minimal frame, this sophisticated sectional is just what your living room needs. It comes in a mist, sage-like hue (shown above) as well as a purplish gray, a dark blue, and a saffron yellow.
This side table is incredibly versatile. It could easily act as an accent table in between two armchairs, a side table by the sofa, or even as a nightstand in the bedroom. The modern table comes in a circular birch wood top with your choice of black or white steel legs. Alternatively, you can opt for a more colorful combination and go with a blush natural linoleum top with black or white legs or a fog white top with white legs for a minimalist look.
If you like Floyd's low-sitting platform bed, take it one step further with this piece that includes a matching birch headboard. You can still choose between white and black steel legs, and because the plywood panels can be added and removed as necessary, the investment can adapt to any change in mattress size that might come next for you.
Add a bright pop of color to your living space with this saffron yellow sofa. It's a great alternative to the sectional if you don't quite have the room for a larger seating area. Like the sectional, you can choose between the chic colors Floyd has to offer, including mist, ocean drive, lunar gray, and saffron.
If you're tight on space in the kitchen, or simply prefer the curved edges of a round table, Floyd has a dining table for you. Customize this round table with the colors that suit your tastes, from blush and fog to smoky blue and olive.
For smaller living areas, this loveseat is just the right size. We love it in the lunar gray, but you can choose ocean drive, saffron, or mist upholstery depending on your needs and style. Plus, the cozy sofa is the perfect spot to curl up and relax.
