The One Thing Christie Brinkley Drinks Every Morning to Boost Her Metabolism

Whatever healthy living advice Christie Brinkley bestows upon us, we're all ears. The former model and actress doesn't just age gracefully—she doesn't age. Returning to grace another Sports Illustrated cover nearly four decades since her first time as cover girl, the 63-year-old mother of three looks as healthy as ever, sharing the spread with daughters Alexa Ray Joel and Sailor Lee Brinkley Cook. So what's Brinkley's secret to looking just as stunning as her very first cover shoot?

For starters, she kick-starts her morning (and metabolism) with warm water and lemon. "It's something I picked up on my Instagram," she spilled in an interview with New York Magazine. She also adds some manuka honey and cayenne pepper and makes sure to sip her drink before anything else enters her system, even coffee. So while it's not quite drinking from the fountain of youth, her morning elixir seems to be doing the trick.

Additionally, Brinkley, a vegetarian since she was 12 years old, says she gave up dieting a long time ago. "The only thing that really lasts is a well-balanced diet." As for some of her go-tos? Brinkley tells Harper's Bazaar she makes a fresh juice made from kale, lime juice, orange juice, and avocado and a homemade pumpkin-seed mix of Himalayan salt, Brazil nuts, walnuts, sunflower seeds, and dried raisins. Her one splurge is raw chocolate.
