Whether you’re planning to hit the slopes over the holidays or prefer to sip a hot toddy inside the lodge (because same), staying cozy this winter does not mean sacrificing on style. But what exactly should you pack for a winter vacation? We asked the three brains behind Beverly Hills beauty salon Striiike—sisters Kristie, Jenn, and Ashley Streicher—to share their travel tips and winter packing essentials. As a celebrity brow expert, a makeup artist, and a hairstylist, respectively, these women are airport regulars and their most recent travels took them to snowy Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

At the top of their packing lists? A good book and warm outerwear from Eddie Bauer.

What’s your packing process like?

JENN STREICHER: I use small separate bags for things like underwear, bras, socks, tights, and of course my Spanx! I take “outfits” instead of just random clothes, and I keep my dresses and nice shirts on the hanger so when I get to my destination, I can just hang them all easily.

KRISTIE STREICHER: I like to think about what I can’t leave home without while planning the trip; then I write notes in my phone so I don’t forget to pack them. I pack the night before, and I always roll everything for less wrinkling and space efficiency. I love Tetris, and I feel like I can apply these skills here.

ASHLEY STREICHER: I can’t say I’m a very organized person when it comes to packing, but I always use the “roll” technique, as it saves space and also keeps clothes pretty wrinkle-free.

What are your five cold-climate packing essentials?

JS: A cashmere beanie, mittens with fingered gloves inside, a warm pair of socks, long underwear, and a chic coat.

KS: A beanie, gloves with liners, a really good thermal layer that wicks moisture, a neck warmer, and a waterproof pair of boots.

What’s your winter must-have from Eddie Bauer?

JS: I’m so pleasantly surprised by how warm I was in Jackson Hole. It’s hard to choose one favorite item, but those Lexi Mitt gloves are really cute and functional!

KS: I really love that this gear is made for adventures by professional adventurers! It’s fitted to perfection, well-thought-out, and very comfortable and warm! I’ll be taking my “snowveralls” everywhere and anywhere there’s snow to be played in!

AS: I got to climb Kilimanjaro in Eddie Bauer technical outerwear and gear. It took me through seven different climates in one climb, starting out in the hot, humid jungle and ending at 20,000 feet elevation in the snow. Everything from the tents we slept in to the layers of breathable and insulating clothing got me to summit that mountain with ease.

What can you absolutely not forget to pack in your bag no matter the time of year?

JS: A travel steamer and a swimsuit.

KS: A brow kit. You never know when you’re going to want to feather a brow.

AS: Every trip is so different, but I’ve put together a pretty rad flight kit. It has everything I could possibly need to have the best (long) flight, including eye cream, eye spray, tons of vitamin C, eye masks, face masks, and a sleep mask.

What’s the one thing about traveling during the holidays that scares you? What do you pack with you to help remedy this?

KS: Airports scare me during the holidays. CBD helps to take the edge off the anxiety, but I love a good book to get lost in, and Words With Friends is my go-to pastime on the phone.

AS: Jet lag has been hitting me hard these days, and I’d hate to miss any vacation time being tired. To remedy this, I always travel with Natural Calm, a magnesium powder you drink before bedtime to help relax and rest.
