The late Zsa Zsa Gabor lived a fabulous life. The Hungarian-American actress and socialite epitomized Hollywood glamour, starring in countless 1950s- to 1970s-era films and charming the likes of Queen Elizabeth, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, and more. Many of these star-studded soirées took place at Gabor's Hollywood Regency-style Bel Air home, which she purchased in 1974 and lived in for three decades.
The 9000-square-foot home, which once belonged to Elvis Presley and warranted a visit from the Beatles in 1965, is officially being reintroduced to the real estate market for $23.4 million by Jade Mills at Coldwell Banker Global Luxury, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The current owners, who purchased the home for $10.4 million in May of 2017, have put the home back on the market complete with permits and plans for a rebuild from architectural firm Harrison Design, if the future owners wish to do so.
Situated on just over one acre of land, the gated estate at 1001 Bel Air Road boasts breathtaking views of Downtown Los Angeles as well as the Pacific Ocean. While the amenities include a pool, massive patio, six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a large circle foyer, its true charm lies in its rich history. "Royalty, world leaders, and Hollywood icons have graced this property," said Mills. "It is poised and ready to be transformed into an elite private compound in one of the nation’s most coveted communities." Step inside the iconic Hollywood home below.
